That’s right, we’re moving on up (or down?) the east coast. Since 2009, we’ve been able to save thousands of race directors thousands of dollars on their event costs, and we decided to share the love just a little bit more. As of this week, we are launching a brand new office to better service the needs of races in the Tri-State Area.
To be fair, we’re thinking it will help at least four states if not more, but Quad State sounds funny, so we’re sticking with Tri. We will be positioned between Philadelphia, New Jersey and metro New York City. We hope to be able to work with events spanning all across the mid-Atlantic States.
As a quick reminder, RaceWire got started in this business in 2009. Our owner Ryan’s family was spending an astronomical amount of money on timing for their charity run, Evan’s Run, in memory of Ryan’s little brother. Ryan purchased timing equipment, learned how to use it, and sure enough, other local races started asking for help. Fast forward seven years, and we’re now timing 600,000 participants a year at close to 1,000 events.
Time flies. Today, we can reflect on where we were just a few years ago. A couple of guys in a basement, working late nights and weekends trying to make the dream come alive. Now, we work with more races than just about anyone in the country. *Tear* How far we’ve come.
